Years ago, I remember telling myself  that “I am not creative . ”

I couldn’t possibly draw vivid portraits nor compose beautiful melodies.

In all these years what I didn’t know is that creativity can have innumerable appearances.  Just because I couldn’t do certain “artistic” things doesn’t necessarily make me uncreative or unimaginative.

This is the very idea bestselling author Elizabeth Gilbert explains in her book Big Magic. She shows how to identify the “creative soul” inside each of us. Throughout the book, Gilbert gives us a detailed account of her own journey as a writer.

Big magic was one of those few books that are filled with inspirational words that can alone motivate us. That’s why in this post I thought of sharing some of them.

I hope some of these uncliched words can inspire you to be creative !
