9 Books I Wish I’d Read Sooner

Ever finished a book and thought, I wish I had read this sooner? Trust me, you’re not alone. We all have books like that on our shelves, just waiting to be read. Owens has this way of painting pictures with words, and before I knew it, I was knee-deep in the marshes of North Carolina, alongside Kya, the main character. The mystery had me guessing until the very end, and now that I’ve finished it, I’m kicking myself for not picking it up sooner.

Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery is another one I wish I’d known about growing up. Anne Shirley’s adventures in Avonlea sound like the kind of thing that would’ve made my childhood so much brighter. Montgomery’s writing is like stepping into a cozy blanket – warm, comforting, and full of whimsy. It’s a classic that I can’t believe I missed out on for so long.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird is a book that’s been on my radar forever, but somehow, I never got around to reading it until in my late twenties. And now that I have, I’m wondering why it took me so long. Lee’s exploration of justice and humanity is as relevant today as it was when it was first published. It’s a book that makes you think, and I only wish I’d delved into it sooner.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

This is another one of those classics that I somehow missed out on until now. Austen’s wit and humor shine through on every page, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. It’s the kind of book that you can read over and over again and still find something new to love each time.
