Serving Ideas

Serve these warm for the best flavor but they hold up well at room temperature.

You can also pair with other small bites like crispy cauliflower, stuffed mushrooms, or a simple cheese board.

Recipe Notes

Use whole cranberry sauce, not jellied, so the cranberries stay on the toothpick.

Cut the sausage and cheese into even pieces so everything melts consistently.

If the cheese doesn’t soften enough on the hot sausage, return the assembled bites to the oven for 1–2 minutes.

Cheddar works best, but gouda or pepper jack also taste good.

If you’re prepping ahead, cut the sausage and cheese early and assemble right before serving.
