15 Irresistible Snacks to Make Your November Book Club Extra Cozy

Fall book clubs are the best, right? It’s the perfect time to be with your book club friends and talk about cute fall romances, Halloween novels, and cozy mysteries, and, of course, snack on foods that taste like autumn! I’ve made a list of 15 easy, cozy finger foods that’ll make your fall book club night even better. I’ve also included some great books that I think would be great with these fall snacks.

1. Pumpkin Muffins

Pumpkin muffins are a must-have snack for any fall book club meeting. They’re soft, full of pumpkin spice flavor, and super easy to hold while chatting. I like to add a dollop of cream cheese frosting on top as well.  Get The Recipe

Best book to Pair : Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman. This is about two sisters who are witches. Perfect book that’s full of magic, mystery, and a bit of romance.

Apple cider donut holes basically fall in a bite. They’re soft, sugary, and taste like fresh apples and warm spices.   Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: The Secret History by Donna Tartt. This dark academia book is a perfect one to discuss.

3. Caramel Popcorn

Caramel popcorn is one of my easiest fall  book club snacks. It’s sweet, sticky, and super crunchy. Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: The Witch’s Daughter by Paula Brackston. This novel follows Elizabeth, a witch who has lived for hundreds of years, as she tries to escape a dark past. I think the cozy sweetness of caramel popcorn pairs perfectly with this charming story.

Pumpkin chips are crunchy and a little bit sweet. All you need is a pumpkin, some salt, and a hot oven. Slice the pumpkin thin, bake, and you’ve got a snack that’s as crispy as a potato chip but with fall flavor. Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern would be magical and mysterious, just like the chips! 

5. Butternut Squash Quesadillas

Butternut squash quesadillas are a little different, but they’re so tasty! . Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. This book is about  family drama and secrets. I think this savory snack would be great for this book. 

6. Maple Roasted Nuts

Roasted nuts with maple syrup are like fall in a handful. They’re easy to snack on, and if your reading group  loves the cozy, sweet taste, add them to your menu.  Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. This classic story is wholesome, warm, and comforting, just like the maple-roasted nuts. Also the story is set in Canada and it totally makes sense. 

7. Mini Apple Pies

These mini apple pies are like little bites of happiness. You can make them in a muffin tin, so they’re easy to pick up and eat without needing a fork. Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. It’s got mystery, a bit of romance, and a lot of beautiful nature descriptions. So Mini apple pies would be fabulous. 

8. Spiced Pecans

Spiced pecans are deliciously addictive. They’re sweet, a little salty, and have a nice crunch. Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: I’d pair them with The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. This book has suspense, mystery, and layers of secrets that keep you guessing, which goes perfectly with a snack that’s got that sweet, salty, and spicy kick.

Book to Pair: The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. This psychological thriller is packed with suspense . This is also one of my favorite thrillers. The members will have plenty to talk about plot characters and writing.

Book to Pair: The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore .This cozy mystery  romance is about finding love in a small town during the best season of the year. 

11. Fig Jam with Brie 

Another awesome book club snack that combine sweet and sour flavor. Also who doesn’t love a cozy snack and book combo. This snack is a blend of sweet and creamy.  Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst. This cozy romantic cottagecore story  is all about stolen spellbooks, unexpected friendships, and sweet jams. 

12. Cranberry Brie Bites

Cranberry brie bites are fancy yet super easy.  Another fun mix of sweet and savory snacks. I think it has a festive feel to it.  Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: The Widow of Pale Harbor by Hester Fox. This gothic mystery set in a small coastal town has romance, a little suspense, and definitely lots of eerie fall vibes.

I really love sweet potato fries. They are a great balance of sweet and salty. You can bake them with a bit of olive oil and sea salt. I am sure your book club members love a cozy snack.  Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: The Make Up by Hailey Gardiner would be a good fall romance to go with this snack. It’s a close friend-to-lovers close door romance with so many cute moments. 

14. Creamy Pumpkin Hummus

Creamy pumpkin hummus is all about bringing  fall flavor to the classic dip! You can serve it with  pita chips, sliced veggies, or naan bread. Get The Recipe

15. Tomato Pesto & Mozzarella Tarts 

How about a  savory, flaky  snack for your  reading group? This snack is full of flavor with pesto, sliced cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella. Get The Recipe

Book to Pair: The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield would be a great book for this snack. The story is about Vida Winter, a famous but very private author who’s known for making up stories about her life.
