This homemade granola is one of my favorite snacks to keep on hand. It’s wholesome, crunchy, and naturally sweetened with maple syrup. I love how you can mix in different dried fruits to make every batch a little different. It’s perfect for breakfast with yogurt, sprinkled over smoothie bowls, or just eaten by the handful as a snack. The best part is how simple it is. You only need one bowl, one saucepan, and a baking tray. This is also perfect book club brunch idea too.

Recipe Notes

I used virgin coconut oil because I love strong coconut flavor. If you prefer a more neutral taste, go with odorless/refined coconut oil.

You can chop the nuts if you prefer smaller pieces. I lightly crushed the hazelnuts and just split the walnuts in half. I left the pecans whole because I like the texture that way. Feel free to adjust the size based on what you enjoy

Make sure to stir halfway through baking so the granola toasts evenly without burning.

Let the granola cool fully before adding dried fruit.

For clumpier granola, press it down gently on the tray before baking and avoid stirring too much.
