Who is Joe Abercrombie?
Joe Abercrombie is a bestselling fantasy author best known for grim and dark fantasy novels the First Law series.
He studied psychology at Manchester university and was in television production before taking up a career as a freelance film editor.
He began the first novel in the First Law trilogy, The Blade Itself between jobs in 2002.
