Some parts were really creepy.

Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver

Demon Copperhead was an amazing audiobook. I loved everything about it; the story, the narrator, and the hilarious banter of Demon. It’s one of the most memorable books I’ve listened to. The story of a boy growing up in Appalachia, facing poverty, addiction, and loss feels honest and important. This is also one of the long audiobooks I really enjoyed.

Anyone will tell you the born of this world are marked from the get-out, win or lose.”

Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia, this is the story of a boy born to a teenaged single mother in a single-wide trailer, with no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks and copper-colored hair, a caustic wit, and a fierce talent for survival. Funny Story is one of the most enjoyable audiobooks I’ve listened to recently. It’s about Daphne and Miles, two people who couldn’t be more different. The story has humor and heart. It’s also another fun audiobook narrated by Julia Whelan.
