I really loved this t’s a powerful story about courage and forgotten sacrifices. I’m a big fan of Kristin Hannah’s books. They always tell unforgettable stories and make you feel so much.

This thriller is steamy and has many twists. It follows Lowen, who is hired to finish a famous author’s book, but what she finds in the author’s notes changes everything. Also check out best books like Verity.

This is another great book by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It follows Evelyn Hugo, an aging Hollywood star, who tells her life story to a young journalist. It’s also one of my all-time favorites. Read my review

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

This is the story Kya. Her loneliness, love, and finding her place in the world. This was a such a beautiful book, also one of my favorite from Reese Witherspoon’s book club.

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

Ove is grumpy, stubborn, and set in his ways and this is his story. It shows how small acts of kindness can change lives. You’ll laugh, cry, and fall in love with Ove. I also think this is one of the best uplifting books for book clubs too.

A grumpy yet loveable man finds his solitary world turned on its head when a boisterous young family moves in next door.

Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon, the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez

I never thought I would add this book to the list of books to read before you die because, at first glance, it looks like any other romance book. But it’s so much more than that. It follows Justin and Emma, who believe they’re cursed in love. Although they started out looking for a quick fling, they end up uncovering a lot about their families. This was also one of the best summer books I have ever read.

Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it’s now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They’ll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.

Emma hadn’t planned that her next assignment as a traveling nurse would be in Minnesota, but she and her best friend agree that dating Justin is too good of an opportunity to pass up, especially when they get to rent an adorable cottage on a private island on Lake Minnetonka.

This book is Nora Seed who gets the chance to live the lives she might have had through a magical library. You will love the story about regrets and finding joy in life. This was also one of those books that gave me a hangover. It really helped me feel grateful for life.

Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera

Listen for the Lie was a really engaging thriller audiobook I listened to in 2024. It follows Lucy who doesn’t remember the night her best friend, Savvy, died. Years later, a podcast investigates the case. You will love the pace and also the podcast format. So I highly recommend the audio version.

What if you thought you murdered your best friend? And if everyone else thought so too? And what if the truth doesn’t matter?

Anxious People by Fredrik Backman

Anxious People is one of my favorite audiobooks. I really loved the story and the plot. It is about a failed bank robbery which quickly turns into a hostage situation. The story brings together a group of strangers with their own struggles. You will love funny, heartwarming, and surprisingly deep themes.

Looking at real estate isn’t usually a life-or-death situation, but an apartment open house becomes just that when a failed bank robber bursts in and takes a group of strangers hostage. The captives include a recently retired couple who relentlessly hunt down fixer-uppers to avoid the painful truth that they can’t fix up their own marriage. Florence Adler Swims Forever by Rachel Beanland

This book actually made me love multigenerational family drama. There is so much sadness in the book. And that’s also the beauty of the writing. The book is set Atlantic City in the 1930s.

Over the course of one summer that begins with a shocking tragedy, three generations of the Adler family grapple with heartbreak, romance, and the weight of family secrets.

Every summer, Esther and Joseph Adler rent their house out to vacationers escaping to “America’s Playground” and move into the small apartment above their bakery. This is the apartment where they raised their two daughters, Fannie and Florence. This is one of the best books of 2024 for me. It is an uplifting book about finding purpose in life. Phoebe goes to a fancy inn alone. But soon she is mistaken as part of a wedding group, she connects with the bride in surprising ways. You’ll love Phoebe. She is funny, clever and compassionate.

A propulsive and uncommonly wise novel about one unexpected wedding guest and the surprising people who help her start anew.

It’s a beautiful day in Newport, Rhode Island, when Phoebe Stone arrives at the grand Cornwall Inn wearing a green dress and gold heels, not a bag in sight, alone. She’s immediately mistaken by everyone in the lobby for one of the wedding people, but she’s actually the only guest at the Cornwall who isn’t here for the big event. This was one of the anticipated releases of 2024. It’s the story of two brothers cope with grief in different ways ; Peter struggles with relationships, and Ivan starts a surprising romance. I really loved the setting, writing and characters.
